Turn Off Two-Way Authentication on Your Gaming Device

Depending on your device and operating system, the process of turning off two-way authentication (also known as two-factor or 2-step verification) may vary. Follow the instructions below based on your device type:

iOS (Apple Devices)

If your Apple ID was created using iOS 10.3, macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later , you cannot turn off two-factor authentication.
If your Apple ID was created using an earlier version, you may have the option to disable it.

Steps to Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication

1. Go to the Apple ID account page and sign in.
2. In the Security section, click Edit .
3. Click Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication .
4. Create new security questions and verify your date of birth to complete the process.

If the option to turn off two-factor authentication does not appear , this feature is permanently enabled and cannot be disabled.

If Two-Factor Authentication Was Enabled Without Your Permission

Check your email (linked to your Apple ID or rescue address) for the enrollment confirmation email.

• Scroll to the bottom of the email and click Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication .
• This link is valid for 14 days from the time of enrollment.

Android (Google Account)

To turn off two-step verification for your Google account:

1. Go to My Account > Security > Signing in to Google > 2-Step Verification
   or visit https://myaccount.google.com/security .
2. Sign in using your email, password, and verification code (if prompted).
3. Select Turn Off next to "2-Step Verification".
4. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click OK to confirm.
