Last updated: 15 Jul 2026

Seller protection provides instant payouts to qualified sellers, regardless of the outcome of a chargeback. This program helps shield sellers from financial risk, provided certain conditions are met.

To check your eligibility, go to your profile page on G2G.

Qualification Criteria

To be eligible for seller chargeback protection, sellers must meet the following requirements:

  1. Respond promptly to email notifications about chargebacks and submit sufficient proof of delivery.
  2. Maintain a monthly chargeback percentage that does not exceed 0.5%.

Eligibility Overview

Eligible
Sellers will receive an instant payout even if the chargeback is decided in favor of the buyer, as long as:

  • The chargeback percentage is 0.5% or lower, and
  • Adequate delivery proof is provided on time.

Not eligible
If a seller does not meet the criteria:

  • The disputed amount will be held until the payment gateway reaches a decision.
  • If the seller wins, the funds will be released.
  • If the buyer wins, the amount will be deducted.
  • This applies to all types of chargeback reasons.

Chargeback Percentage Calculation

Chargeback percentage = Previous month's disputed amount ÷ Sales from two months prior

Month Sales Disputed Amount Chargeback % Eligibility
Jan $100,000 $1,000
Feb $80,000 $400
Mar $120,000 $1,100 0.4% Eligible
Apr $70,000 $600 1.375% Not eligible
May $120,000 $600 0.5% Eligible

Example:
To check eligibility for May:
April’s disputed amount ($600) divided by March’s sales ($120,000) = 0.5% → Eligible

Best Practices to Prevent Chargebacks

  • Write accurate and detailed product descriptions
  • Include multiple high-quality photos of the item
  • Submit complete proof of delivery promptly
  • Respond to buyer messages and resolve issues professionally
  • Keep all communication and supporting documentation for reference
