Buying and Selling on the Marketplace: Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first trade: how orders are delivered, which payment methods are supported, how seller verification works, and what to do when a delivery goes wrong.

Marketplace order flow overview

Getting started

What can I trade here?

The marketplace supports four product families. Each one has its own delivery rules, so check the product page before you check out.

  • Game currency — gold, credits, silver, and other in-game currencies
  • Items and skins — weapons, mounts, cosmetics, and crafting materials
  • Accounts — full account transfers, including the original email where the seller offers it
  • Boosting and coaching — rank pushes, raid clears, and play-with-a-pro sessions

Do I need an account to browse?

No. Browsing listings, comparing seller ratings, and reading reviews are all open to visitors. You only need an account once you want to place an order, chat with a seller, or list something for sale.

Create your account with the email you actually check. Delivery codes, dispute notifications, and payout confirmations are all sent there, and we never send them over social media or third-party chat apps.

Placing an order

  1. Open the listing and choose your server, region, and quantity.
  2. Select a delivery method — face-to-face, auction house, or mail, depending on the game.
  3. Enter your in-game character name exactly as it appears in game, including spaces and capitalisation.
  4. Pay through checkout. Your payment is held in escrow, not released to the seller yet.
  5. Meet the seller in game and confirm the trade.
  6. Click Mark as delivered in your order page to release the escrow.

Step 6 matters. Escrow only releases when you confirm, or automatically after the delivery guarantee window closes, so an unconfirmed order is still protected.

Escrow release timeline

How long does delivery take?

Most sellers publish a delivery estimate on the listing. As a rule of thumb:

Product type Typical delivery Guarantee window Refund eligible
Game currency 5 – 30 minutes 24 hours Yes
Items and skins 15 – 60 minutes 24 hours Yes
Accounts 1 – 6 hours 7 days Yes
Boosting Starts within 12 hours Duration of service Partial
Coaching Scheduled by both parties Per session Partial

If the guarantee window passes with no delivery, the order becomes eligible for a full refund with no questions asked.

Payments

Which payment methods are supported?

Availability depends on your billing country, so the checkout page is always the source of truth. The common options are listed below.

Method Processing time Fee Notes
Visa / Mastercard Instant 0% 3-D Secure may be required
PayPal Instant 0% Buyer must be the account holder
Apple Pay / Google Pay Instant 0% Mobile and supported browsers only
Bank transfer 1 – 3 business days 0% Order starts after funds clear
Store credit Instant 0% Refunds return here by default

We never ask you to pay a seller directly. If a seller asks you to move the payment off-platform (bank transfer, gift card, or crypto sent to a personal wallet), stop the conversation and report the listing. Off-platform payments are outside escrow and cannot be refunded.

Where do refunds go?

Refunds return to the original payment method whenever the processor allows it. When it does not, the amount is credited as store credit, which never expires and can be used on any listing.

Selling

How do I become a verified seller?

Verification unlocks higher listing limits, a Verified badge, and faster payouts. The checklist:

  1. Confirm your email address and enable two-factor authentication.
  2. Submit an identity document — passport, national ID, or driver's licence.
  3. Add a payout method in the same legal name as your identity document.
  4. Complete your first three orders with no unresolved disputes.

Most reviews finish within 24 hours. You can keep selling under your existing limits while a review is in progress.

When do I get paid?

Payouts follow a two-stage clock:

  • Escrow release — when the buyer confirms delivery, or when the guarantee window closes
  • Payout batch — released funds are paid out on the next scheduled batch for your payout method

Full details, including per-method batch schedules, live in the Seller payout guide.

Disputes and safety

A seller did not deliver. What now?

Open the order page and click Report a problem before the guarantee window closes. That freezes escrow immediately and opens a case with our team.

Have these ready:

  • A screenshot of the in-game trade window or mailbox, with the timestamp visible
  • The in-game character name you submitted at checkout
  • Your chat history with the seller — keep it on-platform so we can read it

Cases opened with on-platform chat history and a timestamped screenshot are resolved fastest. A case with no evidence still gets reviewed, but it takes longer and the outcome depends on what the seller can show.

What about account recalls?

An account recall is when the original owner regains access after a transfer. This is the single most common dispute on account listings, so:

  • Change the email, password, and security questions the moment you receive the account
  • Enable two-factor authentication on the game account, not just on your marketplace account
  • Keep the transfer chat and receipt for the full length of the guarantee window

If a recall happens inside the guarantee window, you are covered. Read the Account transfer safety checklist before you buy.

Is trading against the game's terms of service?

Some publishers restrict or prohibit real-money trading. We do not enforce publisher rules on your behalf, and a publisher penalty is not grounds for a refund from the seller. Check the publisher's terms first, and treat any listing that promises "100% ban-proof" delivery as a red flag.

Still stuck?

Support is available 24/7 through live chat and the Submit a request form. Median first response is under 15 minutes for live chat and under 4 hours for email.
